The Infinity is an academic initiative created and led by IIT graduates, dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable preparation for IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants. With a strong focus on personalized mentorship, rigorous test series, structured study materials, and a combination of online and offline learning, The Infinity has built a reputation for guiding students who lack proper guidance and resources. As we expand our offline and online presence, we are looking for a dedicated Admission Counsellor who can uphold our values, connect with students meaningfully, and assist families in making the right academic decisions.
Role Overview
The Admission Counsellor serves as the first touchpoint between The Infinity and prospective students/parents. Their primary role is to understand the student’s academic journey, identify their challenges, assess their preparation goals, and match them with the most suitable program. The counsellor should be able to clearly communicate the unique strengths of The Infinity—its IITian mentorship approach, test series quality, personalized academic support, and proven results.
This role requires a blend of communication skills, emotional understanding, confidence, and strong organizational abilities. The counsellor must maintain a professional yet warm environment where students feel supported and motivated. A significant part of the role includes follow-ups, enquiry handling, counselling sessions, and coordination with academic and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities
Counselling & Interaction
Welcome all walk-ins, telephonic enquiries, WhatsApp leads, website enquiries, and referrals with a friendly and professional approach.
Conduct in-depth counselling sessions for students and parents, listening carefully to understand academic issues, learning style, performance level, and competitive exam goals.
Suggest the most appropriate course (offline/online), test series, or learning plan based on the student’s requirement rather than just selling a product.
Build meaningful rapport and trust with both students and parents, ensuring they feel confident about choosing The Infinity.
Information Delivery
Provide complete clarity regarding IIT-JEE & NEET programs offered by The Infinity, including:
Live and recorded classes
Weekly/Fortnightly/Full-length test series
Study material and DPPs
One-on-one mentorship
Doubt-solving structure
Offline classroom system
Explain fees, instalment options, scholarship process, and admission policies with transparency.
Offer clear guidance about the expected study routine, commitment level, and exam strategy required for the chosen course.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
Maintain structured follow-up cycles with every enquiry to ensure continuous engagement and timely conversion.
Share course brochures, videos, test sample papers, or the app link when required.
Update enquiry logs, follow-up notes, counselling outcomes, and conversion details in CRM or Excel on a daily basis.
Ensure no lead is missed, delayed, or handled without proper communication.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with faculty and academic teams to provide accurate information about batch timings, orientation dates, and class readiness.
Guide newly admitted students through onboarding—class schedules, test access, app login, material collection, and mentorship introduction.
Assist in organizing parents’ meetings, student sessions, seminars, or academic events conducted by The Infinity.
Sales & Conversion
Achieve monthly admission targets through ethical counselling and relationship building—not through forced selling.
Present The Infinity’s strengths confidently, highlighting the role of IITian founders, structured pedagogy, and past results.
Maintain high satisfaction levels by offering honest, supportive, and student-focused guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
Good listening ability and patience to understand student concerns.
Confident personality with problem-solving mindset.
Ability to multitask, manage leads, and follow a structured process.
Basic computer skills: CRM, Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp Business, email, etc.
Experience in counselling, sales, or education sector is preferred but not compulsory.
A positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and commitment to helping students succeed.
Work Structure
9-hour floating shift depending on counselling and batch timings.
Weekly off on Sunday.
